December Moon

This song means much to me.

Something I created and it is a shard of an odd thought that I could never communicate correctly….
Anyhow here it is live in 2001 Travis, Blake, J and I…..

December Moon (live)

Unto The Sun

This song was a one off jam between John, Mike and I while messing about at practice. We should have done this live more… we should have done so many other things, but we had fun….

Unto the Sun (Jam 96)

I will say over the time I have come to like how I was phrasing things with my guitar playing in this era of my playing….

Oh well more to come…

No Love Lost – Show Me How

Blake Livingston made the video for our song Show Me How, putting together footage from shows and some strange video taped moments. Oddly I rarely remember camera’s being around. Hopefully as time goes I will have more videos to post, really hoping to get some of the live shows up.

Shuffle of the Day

Lately I have been letting my iTunes go on shuffle and posting my first ten songs on facebook. I try to find the accompanying video on either youtube or other media streaming site. Having managed a record store, dj’ed and actively performed music my collection of songs is fairly diverse. The shuffle feature makes for some interesting reminiscences.

I thought to try the first five here
So for today:

  1. 10:15 Saturday Night – The Cure -

I remember gettting The Cure in Orange and Staring at the Beach videos and watching them play for ages. I was happy when I learned this song. I think the best is just how young Robert Smith looks in the video.
  2. Brick House – The Commodores –

Can’t really say anything about this except it makes me think of New Cumberland Middle School, not sure why as this was before that time for me and don’t remember anyone playing it. But this song existed in my experience of life so much I don’t know when I first heard it….love thoseglasses….
  3. I Want you (Madonna with Massive Attack) -

  4. Well this continues the run of excellent Massive Attack videos and great guest vocals…I really like the strings on this song. That high pitched movie style swell has been my favorite sound. The song is a bit soft for me, would be better to listen to with a stiff drink in a low lit room….

  5. Help Me Lift You Up – This Mortal Coil-

Blood, what a great album. 4ad did so many great things but this album just changed how I thought albums should be. And this song sits in a dreamy side of the album where songs float in and out with different emotions, each little dreamlets. “Dreams are like water, colourless and dangerous…”
  6. Likufanele – Zero 7

I love this album and this sound. It reminds me of airplanes over the Atlantic and clouds. I think I first heard Zero 7 in flight on the way to England along with Goldfrapp. In flight radio being smooth…
